"Do you have a heat shield but it is in poor condition? A few years ago I restored a heat shield for our MGB. I found a sheet of heat resistant material that was sold to protect walls from wood stoves. After cutting the insulation material to size I attached it with 3/16 inch 'pop' rivets using 3/4 inch OD washers (aka fender washers) to back up against the insulation material".
