REVERSE LIGHT SWITCH On Gearbox - GT-208
For Austin B-series 3-synchro Gearbox, MGA and early MGB

"I figured out a way to add a reverse switch to the top of the shift plate. I used a micro ball switch from a Kenworth Transmission (heavy truck), welded in a plate of steel to the top of the plate.. Drilled and tapped it to the size of the micro switch (9/16) put it all back together.

As soon as you move the shifter to the left, the reverse lever pops up and engages the micro switch and turns on the reverse lights, then I put it in reverse.


The switch is part number 21-458 from Pollak
