The MGA With An Attitude
Flasher Unit fails repeatedly - FT-120
Moss Notors141-750

The first objection to this part is functional non-originality. The original part had #4-40-UNC tapped threads in the three terminals to accept screws that secure the harness wires (which have small ring lug terminals). This part has larger clearance holes in the terminals, so it is supplied with the tiny hex nuts and washers along with #4-40-UNC scews. The only way to connect the wires would be to dismount the flasher unit from the firewall, which is a two-man job out and in, plus a lot of fiddling with the tiny fasteners.
But the more important problem is early electrical failure. Sometimes the unit fails to flash the output load. Sometimes the output for pilot lamp fails (no pilot light). Sometimes the Pilot output stays on to have the Pilot lamp constantly lit. If it actually works when first installed, it is almost guaranteed to suffer early electrical failure. Pure junk until proven otherwise, do not buy.
Also this part seems to have multiple sellers, so buyer beware. Still trying to collect a list of suppliers of the same faulty part.

"Brand new Moss flasher installed. Cover numbers on flasher relay all correct colored wires attached. Park lamps up front and tail lights at rear all flash correctly when the turn signal switch is activated, left or right. Very good. -- Except the problem, the turn signal dash indicator light flashes when the ignition key is turned on, and never quits. While that is happening, none of the front or rear lights are flashing. Grounds are all good. All new wiring harness. All new light assemblies".

"I have replaced four units in the last year or so and all have failed within a very short time. The original one the dash indicator light stopped working, the second and third stopped flashing the turn signal lights, the fourth the dash light also failed. I have purchased from Moss, Roger Motors, and NAPA. Currently I am content with working turn signals and no dash indicator. Another junk part".
